Type 2 Lateral Impact Head Protection
Some work environments expose the head to more than falling objects. Type 2 hard hats add lateral protection for impacts from the side, front, or back, which Type 1 shells are not rated to handle.
When Type 2 Is Required
- Work near moving vehicles or equipment
- Elevated work with fall or swing hazards

- Confined spaces with low clearances
